Jak sugeruje tytuł, album jest kolekcją rockowych piosenek, w ostrym kontraście do poprzedniego albumu Fireships, który składał się głównie z ballad.

Piosenka "Primo on the Parapet" jest hołdem dla pisarza i ocalonego z Holokaustu Primo Levi i była wielokrotnie grana przez Hammilla na koncertach.

Recorded at Terra Incognita, Bath, between January and September 1992.

Number one in the A Loud series.

Remastered by Peter Hammill and re-released in 2005.
