Life Is Good is the name of the sixth studio album by the Irish-American Celtic punk band Flogging Molly that was released on 2 June 2017.[3] Their first studio album in 6 years (following 2011's Speed of Darkness), it is also their first album to feature drummer Mike Alonso.
The six-year break that Flogging Molly took before releasing Life Is Good only deepened the band’s blue-collar convictions, making their sixth album as charged as anything else they’ve done. "Reptiles (We Woke Up)" is a Springsteen-esque call for political activism, while "Crushed (Hostile Nations)" uses militaristic fiddles and guitars to call out the violence of oppressive states. But Flogging Molly tackle the personal as well; on the bittersweet title track, lead singer Dave King reflects on what really matters in life.
