The first in a series of four CD box sets spotlighting key moments in the evolution of Dub. This first box for the Greensleeves label is a real bomb and focuses on the roots of Dub bringing together four foundation classics from the golden age of versions that gathers together many of the main players from Dubs big bang moments. Disc One with Joe Gibbs 'Serial Dub' from 1973 is one of the true foundation stones of Dub, recorded at Randy's with Errol Thompson at the controls – here for the first time in CD! Disc Two and Disc Three have the two original King Tubby longplayer 'Dub From The Roots' from 1974 and 'The Roots Of Dub' from 1975, produced by Bunny Lee. The final and fourth disc is Niney The Observer's 'Dubbing With The Observer' recorded and mixed at King Tubby's 1975! On top of four original Dub LP classics is here included a booklet featuring classic photos and images along with sleeve notes by Reggae historian Noel Hawkes.
